What happens After
For many, the reality of post-addiction life includes eviction, unemployment, and financial instability—situations that can force the heartbreaking surrender of a beloved pet. Each year, millions of dogs and cats enter U.S. shelters, and hundreds of thousands are euthanized simply because there isn’t enough space or resources to save them.
The Underdogs Work. Study. Heal. program is about more than temporary care—it’s about long-term stability and keeping families together. We provide ongoing support on both ends of the leash, including job training, continued therapy, and real-life resources—because healing doesn’t stop at survival. It’s about rebuilding a life—and protecting the bond that makes it worth saving.
